Go to https://istalls.com/dashboard/products/ or click on Products on the dashboard. There are two types of products you can add. A simple product and a variable product. In this article you will learn how to add a simple product which is the most common. A variable product is where you have a product with different sizes, colors, styles, different materials, etc..
If you get a warning on the page as shown above, it could be either of two things:
- Your account is new and iStalls has not approved it yet which takes a maximum of 48hrs only.
- You have reached your limit of products you can add based on your current subscription or you don’t have an active subscription in which case you’ll need to upgrade your account by following the instructions on the warning as shown above.
If your account has been approved by iStalls and you have an active vendor subscription, you can proceed to add your products by clicking on add new product button.
There are two ways of adding products to your shop:
- Add an already existing product. This is ideal when there’s another vendor selling the same product as you. When you add a product in this way, when a customer is viewing the original product, a link to your product will appear in the “Other Available Vendors” tabs.
- You can change the description, pictures and price of the product. You don’t have to stick with what the original owner of the product had.
- Add your own product. This is when you want to add a product not associated with any other vendor.
With this option, fill in the fields provided to you and add high quality pictures for your product to stand out from the rest.
To allow customers to find your products through our Geolocation feature which is what enables our customers to search for and buy products sold by stalls near their physical location, be sure to add your stall’s physical settings by following the link to your store settings provided.
Please note that your products will be available globally and not only where your store is located. Geolocation is meant to help customers filter for products that are near them.
Another important setting is the Search Engine Optimization settings (S.E.O) for your product which determines how your product is shown on Search Engine (eg. Google) results and how it appears when shared on social media.
Click on Edit Snippet button to add your settings and see your changes live.
Go through all the fields and add as much information about your product as you possibly can. Please try and add high quality pictures so that your product can stand out from the rest because you might not be the only one selling the product you are adding which will improve your chances of making a sale.
